Event 2A: In a 4 minute window, teams will complete as many rounds as possible of: 12 Calories on a Concept 2 Rower, 12 Partner Wall Balls, and 12 Calories on a Rogue Echo Bike. Each teammate is required to choose a cardio device prior to the event beginning and communicate that decision to their judge. Ex: Partner 1 will row through the entirety of the WOD and Partner 2 will bike through the entirety of the WOD. Score will be total repetitions accumulated at the end of 4 minutes.

Division Standards:

RX throw 20-lb. ball to 9-ft. target

Intermediate throw 14-lb. ball to 9-ft. target

Scaled throw 10-lb. ball to 9-ft. target

Wall Ball

In the wall-ball shot, the medicine ball must be taken from the bottom of a squat, hip crease below the knee, and thrown to hit the specified target.

The rep is credited when the center of the ball hits the target at or above the specified target height. If the ball hits low or does not hit the wall, it is a “no rep.” If the ball drops to the ground from the top, it cannot be caught off the bounce to begin the next rep. The ball must settle on the ground before being picked up for the next rep.

Each partner will complete 6 reps for a team total of 12 reps. The reps can be accomplished by passing the ball back and forth by way of catching a completed rep after it hits the wall and the ball descends into the opposite partner’s hands. Alternatively, the reps may also be accomplished by letting the ball hit the floor following a good rep, allowing it to settle, and then the opposite partner may pick it up and complete a rep.

Row

The monitor on the rower must be set to zero at the beginning of each row. The working athlete may have assistance from their partner resetting the monitor. Judges will not reset monitors. The athlete must stay seated on the rower until the monitor reads 12 calories.

Bike

The monitor on the bike must be set to zero at the beginning of each row. The working athlete may have assistance from their partner resetting the monitor. Judges will not reset monitors. The athlete must stay seated on the bike until the monitor reads 12 calories.

Athletes will rest 1 minute following event 2A, and then begin Event 2B.

Event 2B: With a 4 minute time cap, teams will complete 36 Calories on the Rower, 36 Partner Wall Balls, and 36 Calories on the Bike. The partner who completed the row in 2A will bike in 2B and the partner who completed the bike in 2A will row in 2B. Reps may be broken up however the teams choose. (Ex: P2 Bikes 15 Cal, P1&P2 complete 20 Partner Wall Balls, P1 Rows 15 Cal…)

Score will be total repetitions accumulated at the end of 4 minutes.
